Bridge Housing opened in December of 2020 to provide transitional housing for individuals and families moving out of homelessness to permanently affordable housing. Owned by Housing Initiatives Inc., a non-profit affiliate of RHA and managed by the Rutland Housing Authority, Bridge includes a mix of efficiency units and one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Two of the eight units are reserved for homeless patients discharged from Rutland Regional Medical Center; and one unit for youth in transition receiving wrap around supports from The Mentor Connector.

Bridge is a housing with services partnership between Rutland Housing Authority, Homeless Prevention Center, the RRMC Community Health Team, Rutland Mental Health and BROC Community Action. Residents of Bridge have access to an array of services including assistance with securing permanently affordable housing.

Bridge Housing was made possible in part through the generous support of Rutland Regional Medical Center’s Housing for Health Campaign and donations from the community. We wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the many individuals and businesses that helped make Bridge a reality.
